what o3 Pro is to me: an Olympic Level Reasoner

I never did well in Math class in school. sure I passed and usually got at least B+. but in more verbally oriented subjects I excelled.

looking back on it, it's obvious that it was because I was being cognitively lazy. back in the day I didn't want to make that effort to use System 2 thinking. I didn't want to make the effort to "check my work"

and that, to me, is the type of reasoning that a system like o3 Pro is doing.

it’s able to “check its work” at a superhuman level. it can do things using logical-reasoning that would take a human being many hours to do in a matter of 15 minutes.
